Week 1:
Sit quietly in your home or outside for 3 minutes and listen.  Ask a family member to help you write down what you heard.  If you want to share it, you can ask your parent to email me what you heard or send a message through Class Dojo!  

Listen to this piece of music.  How do you want to move to this music?  Would you move slowly or quickly?  Now go ahead and create that movement or dance!  


 2 and 3 Week 2:
Activity 1:

Listening Activity:  Step outside for 3 minutes, listen to what you hear around you.  Try to write down every sound you hear in those three minutes.  Send me the list through Class Dojo or Email!

Activity 2: 
Write a 1 measure composition using our Quarter Note, Eighth Note Pair, Triplet, and Quarter Rest!  Watch the video below to review and go over how to draw these notes!


Week 1:
Practice singing your Solfege Syllables with Hand Signals.  Now try creating a song using these syllables and hand shapes!  Write it down or record it.  If you would like, send it to me through email or Class Dojo!



 
 4 and 5 Week 2:
Activity 1: Listening Activity-Step outside and listen quietly for 3 minutes.  Write down all the sounds you hear.  Send me the list you write through Class Dojo or Email!
Activity 2:
Compose 8 Measure of Rhythm Notes:
Watch the video to review our rhythm notes and practice building 4 beat measures!  Send me your 8 measure composition through Class Dojo or Email!


Week 1:
 Make a list, draw, or take a picture of all the instruments in your home!  Then share it with me through email or Dojo!  If you don't have instruments in your home, build your own by finding items that have different sounds!  Check out my kitchen instrument for inspiration!
