WSS Hybrid Model
Hello
White
Street
School
Families.
I
am
writing
to
inform
you
that
Springfield
Public
Schools
is
making
plans
for
a
hybrid
return-to-school
this
spring.
It’s
important
to
note
that
this
back-to-school
option
will
depend
on
the
public
health
situation
at
the
time
but
right
now,
we
are
hoping
for
a
phased-in
approach
beginning
in
March
and
going
through
April
and
May.
Students
at
White
Street
School
would
be
scheduled
to
start
phasing
in
in
April
(not
March)
due
to
their
specific
educational
program.
IMPORTANT
DETAILS:
During the week of 2/22-3//5 you
will
receive
a
phone
call
or
email
from
your
child's
classroom
teacher
or
paraprofessional.
You
will
take
a
questionnaire.
In
the
questionnaire
you
will
be
asked
to
submit
a
FINAL
decision
about
whether
your
student
will
attend
in
person
classes
or
continue
completely
remotely
in
the
spring
for
the
rest
of
the
school
year.
PLEASE
NOTE:
the
choice
is
either
a
HYBRID
schedule
(One
week
would
be
3
days
in
school
and
2
remote
and
the
next
week
would
be
2
days
in
school
and
3
remote)
OR
remain
fully
remote
as
you
are
currently.
Between
February
22
and
March
10
please
look
for
a
phone
call
or
communication
from
your
child's
classroom
to
participate
in
the
questionnaire.
You
will
not
be
able
to
change
your
mind
after
you
submit
this
information
so
please
make
sure
you
carefully
consider
what
is
best
for
your
student.
We
will
need
100%
participation
from
all
families
for
all
students
in
the
questionnaire.
Also,
we
have
posted
a
power
point
below that
explains
the
health
and
safety
protocols
that
will
be
put
in
place
for
back-to-school.
Please
stay
tuned
for
more
information
and
clarity
as
we
plan.
Thank
you
for
being
actively
involved
in
your
child's
education
this
year
(and
always).
